Lumber Rack Build
I wanted to build a lumber rack to store the collection of boards I was amassing. This lumber rack turned out really nice, and is a pretty easy project to build.

I sanded mine flat and it works as good as any other whetstone. The burr on the edge of the stone seemed to ruin the blade as i was using it. I also noticed that you can actually feel the difference in grit once you take the top layer off. The lighter half is substantially finer than the course side and is a nice, smoother solid finish to it like a quality whetstone. So it costs $3 and 2-3 hours of your time to get an awesome stone.

Which side is the fine side ? Both sides feel the same to me 🤷🏾‍♂️

Awesome. I like that these will store up somewhere easily. Light enough to hang somewhere. I use a pair of saw benches in my shop, and sometimes my living room. Seeing you sawing made me think the order of operations could have been a simply 2x4 sawbench made with laminated top and mortised legs and stretcher. Basically a mini 2x4 bench. But you got the sawing done…. 4 minutes later I saw you using a sawbench in the shape you video!

If I understand the layout, furnace has a path wide enough to walk around the back of the shelf? The shelf is on the wider side of the furnace and allows for big shelves instead of narrow shelves making the pathways narrow.

I disagree you can tell the difference in grit by feeling it. At least for me I feel the difference between medium

Salt causes rust, but the chemical reaction of combining vinegar and salt produces hydrochloric acid, which removes the rust.

Virgin olive oil will protect from rust. It also makes old rusty items look great. The tiniest amount is needed. Olive oil is also edible of course so not a worry if you get it on your skin.

My Aldi doesn't have fun stuff like that. The cheap ones are made by a couple of companies at most. Some get different graphics. I had one that was a Mitiyoma copy. Not a bad thing, I don't like the small numbers after the first digit.

I've had the chance to use this table a couple of times now. It's fun to whip out in front of people:) I can see what people are talking about when they say the legs are delicate, but they're design to support a "mostly" vertical load, not be torqued from the side or pushed back into place. If you just let the table open or close on it's own and don't force anything, it works great ruclips.net/user/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh Once it's set up, it's pretty solid. My only gripe would probably be related to the clamps provided. They're not the highest quality. They do the job, so no big deal, but they could be better. All in all, pretty cool gadget.

The batteries in these are made really well. I have one that has held a charge for over 5 years, and has as much charge as the day it was put up. The fact that all the bits are in one place is the best selling point, you don't have to go hunt for what you need; just be careful they don't fall out. I wish I could find the charger lol.

The lock was most likely Zinc so I am sure the Vinegar did a number on it, next time you can try the same mixture along with Electrolysis. As many stated wash with soap & water with a little baking soda to naturized the aid of the Vinegar. To stop further rusting there are three thing you can do, spray clear coat it, cold blue it or wipe it down with oil.

I have seen two ways to kinda fix these. Open the handle cover and bend the rear metal tab so it will take a deeper bite. The other way that can help is to get rough sand paper and sand the top and bottom of the rail. It helps it grab a little better.
